N.S.R.V. Jolly Jumper
N.S.R.V. Jolly Jumper is dé studenten paardrijvereniging van Nijmegen. Al ruim 45 jaar zijn alle studenten in en rond Nijmegen die van paarden of paardrijden houden welkom. Onze leden rijden op verschillende niveau’s: van beginners tot gevorderden. Bij ons staat gezelligheid en verbondenheid staat centraal.
Elke maandag hebben we de verenigingslessen deze vinden plaats bij Manege de Veerkracht in Heumen. In onze verenigingslessen doen we vooral dressuur en maandelijks hebben we springles.
We nog veel andere activiteiten naast onze verenigingslessen. Zo hebben we elke maand tenminste één paard gerelateerde activiteit. Denk hierbij aan een bosrit, western les of een les op een Ijslands paard. Ook hebben we allerlei sociale activiteiten zoals Sinter-kerst en nieuw, toetjesdiner en geiten yoga. Bij onze stamkroeg Bascafé / Café de fuik houden we onze borrels.
N.S.R.V. Jolly Jumper is the student riding association of Nijmegen. For over 45 years all students in and around Nijmegen who love horses or horseriding are welcome. Our members ride at different levels: from beginner to advanced. The most important to us is to have fun together.
Every monday we have our association lessons at Manege de Veerkracht in Heumen. In these lessons we mainly work on our dressage and once a month there is a jumping lesson.
Besides these association lessons there are many other activities. Every month there is at least one horse related activity. Think of a trail ride, western lesson or a lesson on an icelandic horse. We also have all kinds of social activities such as a Christmas celebrations, dessert dinner and goat yoga. At our sponsor pub Bascafé / Café de fuik we have our drinks ‘borrels’.
N.S.R.V. Jolly Jumper is lid van de KNHS-VNS. Dit is een overkoepelende organiseren waarbij andere zusterverenigingen aangesloten zijn. De aangesloten zusterverenigingen organiseren (indien mogelijk) jaarlijks een Steden Ontmoeting (ook wel SO genoemd). Zo’n SO duurt meestal 1,5 dag en vindt plaats in het weekend. Met een groep deelnemers ga je naar de locatie waar de zustervereniging het SO organiseert. Hier rijdt je in de voorronde je proef of spring je je parcour op een onbekende pony of paard. Tijdens het gezellige themafeest worden de halve finalisten bekend gemaakt. Een weekend vol gezelligheid!
N.S.R.V. Jolly Jumper is a member of the KNHS-VNS. This is an umbrella organisation to which other sister associations are affiliated. The affiliated sister associations organise (if possible) a so called SO. Such an SO usually lasts 1.5 days and takes place at the weekend. With a group of participants, you go to the location where the sister association organises the SO. Here, you ride your test in the preliminary round or jump your course on an unfamiliar pony or horse. During the cosy theme party, the semi-finalists will be announced. A weekend full of fun!
